Minutes of meeting held in Owners Breakfast Room, Turnberry Gardens on Sunday 1st April at 12 noon.

The Chairman welcomed a large turnout of members to the first meeting of the season and introduced Mr. Rae who attended to provide management input as and when required.
Willie intimated that the Charity target figure is £12000 and a programme of events is already in place providing more opportunities for members socialising and fundraising. More details to follow regarding the ceilidh, race night, midsummer ball, auction and various other theme nights.

The line dancing classes will run on Saturday evenings as before.

The Golf Club is set up with an additional greenkeeper in post. A few residents of Golf Village expressed concerns about security. These were noted and should soon be resolved.

Following a meeting with Bourne Leisure it is confirmed that the General Manager has been instructed not to permit subletting on Arran View Nos.1-128.

Entertainment Passes; The decision to charge owners for passes over and above the designated photograph passes has not met with approval. There was much heated discussion. Mr. Rae took note of points raised and opinions voiced and promised to forward those for consideration by management with a view to reaching a more acceptable arrangement.

Storage; The hard-won compromise arrangement of one box per caravan has left some owners unhappy. Management has also stated that storage will be provided for such items as bicycles and disability aids.

Laundry; Many owners feel that any of the suggested alternatives to the banned whirlies is a backward step and therefore unsatisfactory.

Pond; There is concern over litter in and around the pond and also the state of the lifebelts.

Toilets; Ladies toilet near Reception seems to need more frequent monitoring and cleaning.
Removal of walls,etc.; A few owners are not satisfied with the way their pitches have been left.

Security; A request was made for Security at Atlantic door to ensure that Bingo players enjoy their session without constant interruption. Usually the hall is closed to others while the Bingo is in progress.
A member stated that he was unhappy with the standard of security, particularly with the response time when his caravan alarm system was tested.

Streetlights; Too many are still out for too long.

Treasurer’s Report; Members are reassured that the usual comprehensive report will be presented at the A.G.M.

Aftersales; Several owners feel service could be improved. Mr. Rae stated that he has already taken this in hand and will monitor cases.

Off-season; Some owners state that when they arrived to make checks on their caravans they were denied access to the site.

The meeting concluded with the enrolment of new members and other administration.

Turnberry Gardens can accommodate 400 people Association members have priority in tickets Until 12th May.

Members who have paid their 2007/2008 membership fee will receive one free ticket (non-transferable)
