Association Meeting -Sunday 12th April 2008 at 12noon in Turnberry Gardens.

Present: Committee: W.MacNamara, T.Hughes, W.Harrity, S.Phelan
Management: G.Angus, D.Ireland
Apologies: W.Millar

The Chairman opened the meeting and welcomed members and management reps. Since various issues with insurance have arisen recently we were glad that Mr Angus was able to address the meeting and explain the system. Please note that management representative Peter Tudhope will try to assist with any queries you may have or difficulties you may experience with your caravan insurance.

Site Fees: The Chairman confirmed the outcome of the negotiations whereby the members received the £60 credit against this year’s site fees and the two golf passes. It is noted that a start has been made on the improved activities package. Various classes in dancing and art and craft are already up and running.

Adult Venue: With Dixies closed there is concern that there seems to be no acceptable adults-only venue. The new Mash and Barrel is for adults-only after 11 o’clock. A designated area in the Atlantic Bar did not meet with the meeting’s approval and the idea of an overflow facility in Turnberry Gardens to cope with over crowding was not thought to be practicable.

Staff/Customer Relations: It seems that in the course of their duties several members of staff have been subjected to verbal abuse by caravan owners,possibly our members. Obviously this is not good news and the committee reminds members that such conduct reflects badly on all of us.

Suggestion Boxes: Owners posting comments/enquiries in these boxes reported that they have not received any response.

Splash Zone: Members report that the water in the showers is always cold.

Gas Tank Walls: The screen block is in such a poor state of repair as to be potentially dangerous.

Dogs: Dogs are running loose although all owners should know this is a contravention of the park rules.

Mash and Barrel: Complaints about the fire exits being tied or otherwise disabled.

Karaoke: The Hat and Barrel Club’s new schedule is;
Mash and Barrel Fri. 9.30pm --- 1.00am ( after 11.00pm adults only )
Bonga Wonga Sat. 2.30pm --- 5.30pm
