Association Meeting - Sunday 5th November 2006.

5th November 2006 at 12noon in Turnberry Gardens.

The members met with general manager, Andy Rae, who gave an informative and detailed account of the projected developments scheduled for next season.

Security
Two areas of responsibility;
Site – managed by George Angus.
Complex – managed by Andy Mills-Brown

Working onsite will be park wardens for each area.
There will be a designated Ramtech rep.and more cameras.
The main gate will be operated under an improved system to address present concerns about security, safety
and speed of admission.

Services
Refuse uplifts will be improved.
There will be an in-house head gardener supervising the gardening squads.

Development
Splash Zone – major refurbishment – observation gallery to go – new wet and dry seating areas – new ventilation system.
Bonga Wonga – complete refit.
Golf Village – new pitches.

Facilities
Golf Course – in-house control from start of season.
Rory Zone closed – soft play to be re-sited.
Food – Oasis Restaurant within Turnberry Gardens for a trial period.

Caravan Services – manager will improve administration, after-sales and repair services – better communication with owners – provide full programme of years events by March – monthly newsletter – cabaret list 2 weeks prior
to act.

Members were invited to ask questions or raise concerns.
1. Security at main gate.
2. Playpark with facilities for the disabled.
3. Cleaning of pond.
4. Security around perimeter – beach gate.
5. Control of trees and bushes – landscaping.
6. Quality of entertainment.
7. Many members thought Atlantic and Dixies were in more need of a refit than Bonga Wongas. New toilet sinks for Dixies.
8. Launderette to be better maintained and resume service washes.
9. Complex lighting – inadequate in various areas.
10. Scottish holiday dates do not always coincide with those in England.
11. Quiet lounge requested.
12. Boxes and Whirlies
13. Teenage venue required.
14. Review of arrangements for Bingo.
15. Speciality events such as Irish Weekend – negotiate rates.
16. Extension of season and provision of facilities in low season.

There was lively discussion on these points. Mr.Rae explained that many concerns would be dealt with in his existing programme and any others he would take on board for further consideration.
The chairman closed the meeting with a vote of thanks to Mr. Rae.

The Committee would like to wish all our members and their families and Andy and his staff a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Our next meeting 1st Sunday in April 07.
