Minutes of meeting held in Dixies on Sunday 2nd September 2007

The Chairman welcomed a large turnout of members. He introduced Mr Andy Rae Complex general manager.
Details of the August meeting were discussed and the following items were raised for discussion.

1. Points on minutes carrying forward to next meeting.
Mr. Rae advised that he would respond to committee seven days prior to our next due meeting.

2. Members complained about the standard of entertainment at the last three owners theme nights.
Mr. Rae accepted the point being made and said that he in future would take personal responsibility for all theme nights and would be in attendance.

3. Member complained about under-age drinking in venues.
Mr. Rae stated that each bar has a log book where all occasions of bar staff refusing to serve people are entered. It was found that adults are purchasing the alcohol and giving it to under age youths. Bottles from camp shop are security marked.

4. Member complained that a young child walked into the Gents Toilet in Atlantic Bar as door was left open.
Mr. Rae said he would have a stronger door spring installed. It was pointed out, however, that parents should be responsible for their children.

5. Letting in Arran View (Problems).
Mr. Rae will write to owner.

6. Member had dirty linen left at their caravan door and also complained about continuous noise from hired caravans in Arran View.
Mr. Rae said he would investigate and report back at next meeting.

7. A number of points were raised on poor lighting in certain areas of the camp.
Mr. Rae will identify these areas and improve the lighting.

8. Members asked if there would be an Adult Venue next year.
Mr. Rae said he did not know but he personally supported an Adult Venue being available.

9. A problem with paper passes issued by the sales team was raised.
Mr. Rae advised he would stop this immediately.

10. Better publicity required for Dixies.
Mr. Rae said he would look into this.

11. Member asked if Rory Zone was coming down.
Mr. Rae said yes but another location was being sought.

12. Adverts on fences surrounding the bins were restricting view of anyone at the bins who may walk out into oncoming traffic.
Mr. Rae to investigate.

13. Members are reminded that the Legends Show will be on the 13th October in Dixies at 8pm.
The Charity Auction is on Sunday 14th October at 2.30pm. Any donations will be welcome for auction. We need toys, sports equipment, jewellery, white elephants or anything else at all.

14. Owners Association (22nd) Annual Dinner Dance is on Saturday 20th October with dinner in Turnberry Gardens at 8.30pm, then upstairs in DIxies for entertainment and dance Tickets are available from the Owners Association £5.00 including dinner. Children £2.50. The committee (for the 2nd time this year) has agreed to pay for each members ticket. All money raised from Tombola,raffles,Bingo,etc. goes to charity as all prizes are donated by our members and the management.

15. A box will be at the owners breakfast door to allow anyone who wants to donate to charity.

Gas Check for this month will be on Saturday 20th October.
Members can phone 0141 959 2225 to book a Check and as this a members only deal at £25.00 it must be booked though the committee or by phoning 0141 959 2225. If you book it any other way you will be charged £49.99+vat as Haven Sales & Reception can only offer you their contractors.

The meeting concluded with enrolment of new members and other administration.
